Our classes are available throughout Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire in four age groups:
In some areas, we also offer pre-school classes and this year we have introduced drama for adults. Use our class finder, or check out the timetable to find your closest studio.
Classes are an hour long, run alongside school term times and are cleverly structured to ensure our students remain engaged, interested and active. Typical activities include introductory and warm-up exercises, speech work, movement skills, improvisation, scripted work and drama games. Skills are developed over the first two school terms culminating in our end of year productions in July which are performed in a central venue with costume, lighting and music.
The curriculum is constantly revised and updated. A great amount of time has been spent developing lessons which include a unique and extensive range of drama activities. The material for each class is reviewed regularly to ensure its age appropriate and relevant to the times.
Within Youth Theatre and Young Actors, students work on extracts from published scripts which are often part of GCSE and A-level syllabuses. The curriculum is designed so a child may join the academy at four and stay on until they are 18 without ever repeating a lesson.
Fees are charged on a term by term basis, but work out as just £8.00 per session. We offer sibling discount as well as an early payment discount of 10% when fees are paid upfront. Payment plans are also available. We offer a free trial lesson to all prospective students.
