I just had to write and say how proud I was/am of my students from Hitchin who performed on Sunday! They all took to the stage and gave wonderful performances! As with any live Theatre piece, anything can happen, and my students coped so professionally, it was amazing! Elizabeth my Princess getting her costume caught in the chair but styling it out, and my Sailors Zoe and Matilda G being aboard a raft that literally popped onstage (see photo!) They were so professional and forced away the potential laughter and corpsing, to carry on. Absolute stars!
In class today when discussing their performances, it was so beautiful to see how proud all the children were of themselves and how much they had enjoyed performing. It makes my wonderful job, even more special, to see the sense of achievement they all had! One particular comment that I loved was from Matilda H; "I liked it when the curtains opened and we were in the spotlight!"
As Show Weekend Part 2 comes ever closer, I am so excited to share the hard work and dedication the rest of my classes have put in to have their "spotlight" moment. This week we have all been super excited for the performances and giving our all in rehearsal!
Thank you for bringing your fantastic children to me every week! We will see you on Sunday where they will all shine like the true stars they are!
