Within the improvisation three actors must imagine they are friends driving along the motorway and create a simple storyline on the spot for why they are in the car together and where they are going. The mood should take a dramatic turn when the characters decide to pick up a hitchhiker.
This actor should convey a strong emotion or character trait through their performance, of which the other actors should pick up on and imitate. This sort of exercise is great for stretching the talents of our young actors, teaching them instant characterisation and teamwork.
This sort of drama game is such a delight to witness within our academy as it really does show off the amazing creativity, quick thinking and humour that our students posses. If you would like to find out more about our Youth Theatre or Young Actors classes please contact us.
